Sage Stuffing – Holiday Side for 6

Unpack Your Kit Ingredients

butter
chopped onion
chopped celery
local whole wheat bread, cubed (Farm to Market)*
organic chicken broth (Clearly Organic)
local egg (Good Natured Family Farms)
fresh rosemary
fresh sage
fresh parsley
ground pepper
porcini mushroom powder
garlic powder
garlic salt

Grab Your Cookware and Staples

large skillet
large bowl
roasting pan or pyrex dish
microwave-safe bowl
aluminum foil


Step 1: Sauté the Veggies

PREHEAT the oven to 350 degrees.

MELT 4 butter balls in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

ADD the onion and celery and sauté until tender, about 5 minutes.


Step 2: Prepare the Stuffing Mixture

COMBINE the celery-onion mixture with the bread cubes, egg and
2 cups chicken broth in a large bowl.

ADD the rosemary, sage, parsley, ground pepperporcini mushroom powdergarlic salt and garlic powder and stir well.

TIP: If you have drippings from your turkey, add them to the stuffing for even better flavor!


Step 3: Bake the Stuffing

COAT a roasting pan or pyrex dish with 1 butter ball.

MELT the remaining butter in the microwave.

TRANSFER the stuffing mixture to the baking dish and pour melted butter over the top.

COVER the dish with foil or an oven-safe lid.

BAKE for 45 minutes or until cooked through. Enjoy!
