1. BAKE THE SWEET POTATO FRIES
PREHEAT the oven to 400 degrees.
POUR half the bag of sweet potato fries on baking sheet.
TOSS sweet potato fries with cumin along with desired amount of salt and pepper. Spread into a single layer on baking sheet.
BAKE on top rack of oven for 15 minutes or till desired crispness. (Freeze the rest of your sweet potato fries for another meal! #luckyU)
2. COOK THE BURGERS
While the sweet potato fries bake…
SPRAY griddle or cast iron skillet with non-stick spray and heat over medium-high heat.
SPRINKLE desired amount of steak seasoning on both sides of each plant-based burger patty.
COOK patties about 3-5 minutes on each side (be careful not to overcook).
PLACE cheddar cheese on each patty during the last 2 minutes of cooking to melt, if desired. *Omit cheese for vegan option!
TOAST buns on same griddle or in same cast iron skillet for extra yumminess!
3. DRESS ‘EM UP & CHOW ‘EM DOWN!
CUT heirloom tomato into slices on cutting board.
SERVE cooked patties on buns with sliced tomato, red onion, bibb lettuce, ketchup and spicy smoked mustard, if desired. *Omit buns for vegan option!
ENJOY with the sweet potato fries on the side…and with the knowledge that you just helped to reduce green gas emissions today by choosing to eat these plant-based burgers over traditional meat burgers!
★TIP: Please recycle your dinner kit packaging. Our containers are compostable and made from plant-based materials.
Wine: Prophecy Pinot Noir (California)
This Pinot Noir delights the senses with a bouquet of toasted oak and ripe raspberry. Plush and smooth, the mouthfeel is round and filled with luscious layers of red cherry and strawberry that are complemented by notes of brown spice.
Beer: Boulevard Tank 7
A variation on a traditional Belgian-style farmhouse ale, this beer begins with a big surge of fruity aromatics and grapefruit-hoppy notes, then tapers off to a peppery, dry finish.
