MAIN:
local burger spice mix (Midwest Best Seasonings)
local grass-fed ground beef (Steve's Meat Market)
local cheese curds (Hemme Brothers Creamery)
local brioche buns (Farm to Market Bread)
tomato
bibb lettuce
sliced onion
local ketchup (Boys Grow)
mustard (Grey Poupon)
SIDE:
sweet potato tortilla chips (Food Should Taste Good)
Grab Your Cookware and Staples
large griddle pan or skillet (preferably cast-iron)
a large bowl
cutting board and knife
salt and pepper
Step 1: Mix and Form the Burgers
COMBINE the seasoning mix with 1/4 cup warm water in a large bowl. Allow it to soak for 3 minutes.
DRAIN and discard any excess juice from the ground beef. Then mix the meat into the seasoning.
FORM the mixture into flat patties, about 1/2-inch thick.
PLACE 4 cheese curds on top of each patty. Fold the meat mixture over the cheese curds and press to form cheese-stuffed patties, about 1-inch thick.
Step 2: Cook the Burgers
ARRANGE the burgers on a large griddle pan or skillet.
COOK over medium heat for 4–5 minutes per side (for medium-well). The internal temp of the burgers should reach 160 degrees before you remove them from heat.
★TIP: If you'd rather cook your burgers on the grill, go for it!
Step 3: Serve It Up
SLICE the tomato and brioche buns. (We give them to you whole to maintain optimal freshness.)
★TIP: We recommend that you put a little butter on those buns and toast them in the oven or on the grill. Mmmmm...
SERVE the burgers with your choice of toppings and a side of sweet potato tortilla chips. Enjoy!
★TIP: Please recycle your dinner kit packaging.
